Talisker - made by the sea

In 1825, Hugh MacAskill of Eigg acquired Talisker House and the north end of the Minginish peninsula on the rugged, beautiful Isle of Skye. Five years later, he and his brother had built what was to become one of the world’s most popular distilleries on the shore of Loch Harport. Talisker is a Single Malt Whisky made on the shores of Isle of Skye, one of the most remote, rugged, yet beautiful landscapes in Scotland. Few whiskies tell the story of their origins better than those crafted at this distillery. Talisker’s smell and taste instantly connect you with the wild and stormy Isle.

THE DISTILLERY

The oldest and working distillery on the Isle of Skye, set on the shores of Loch Harport with dramatic views of the Cuillins. The latest addition to the family is Talisker Skye. Crafted to reflect the beautiful landscape of the distillery’s island home; Talisker is an alluring, sweet, full-bodied single malt that’s so easy to enjoy, and like Skye itself, so hard to leave.

Emma grew up in Scotland's two most famous whisky regions, Islay & Speyside, as a result she has a strong heritage in whisky production. With West Coast roots, Emma is passionate about the Scottish Islands, in particular the Isle of Skye, and is starting an exciting new adventure becoming the first ever Brand Ambassador for Talisker Single Malt in the Nordics.

30ml Talisker Skye
10ml Sherry Fino
15ml Plum wine
10ml Chamomille syrup
10ml Fresh grapefruit juice 

Pour all the ingredients into a shaker and shake it vigorously. Strain it with a double strainer into a pre chilled cocktail glass.

30ml Talisker 10
15ml Butterscotch molasses
10ml Dark ale vinegar
100ml Fresh apple & rhubarb juice

Pour all the ingredients together into a shaker and shake with cubed ice. Pour all the content of the shaker into a highball glass.

15ml Elderflower cordial
2 spoons Pear jam
10ml Birch tree sap
15ml Mozart white chocolate
25ml Talisker 10 

Pour all the ingredients into a shaker and shake it vigorously. Strain with doublestrainer to pre chilled white wine glass.

THYMELESS FIZZ

THYMELESS FIZZ

3 sprigs of wild thyme
3 teaspoons of powdered sugar
3 wild raspberries
Juice of half a lemon
40ml Talisker Skye
A splash of carbonated water

Put all the ingredients (except the carbonated water) into a shaker. Add some ice, and shake all the ingredients together vigorously. Pour your cocktail into a whisky glass filled with ice cubes and add a splash of carbonated water.

Finish with a touch of wild raspberries.

VERBENA JULEP

VERBENA JULEP

40ml Talisker 10
10 lemon verbena leaves
20ml honey water 

Pour your Talisker 10 into a whisky glass. Add the honey water along with the lemon verbena leaves, lightly bruise the leaves to release their essential oils. Fill the glass with crushed ice, give it a brisk stir for ten seconds. Top it again with more ice and decorate with a sprig of lemon verbena and a straw.

TALISKER SODA & PEPPER

50ml Talisker
150ml soda (or tonic – depends on market)
1pinch Ground Green Pepper


Fill a glass with ice. Fill a highball glass with ice cubes. Pour Talisker Storm and soda into the glass. Using a jigger, measure 50ml Talisker and 150ml soda into the glass. Garnish with ground green pepper.

50ml Talisker
25ml lime juice
15ml simple syrup
Celery bitters: 3 dashes
1 egg white
Garnish with fennel

Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker, fill with ice and shake heavily. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with fennel.

40ml Talisker Skye
20ml eau de vie infused with raspberries
10ml Amaro Ciociaro
20ml lemon
10ml oj
Egg white
Rose lemonade
Garnish with nutmeg and raspberry powder

Dry shake, shake, double strain. Big chunk of is in a Whisky glass.

3 blackberries
2cl Talisker 10 Y
2cl Cointreau
2cl juniper syrup
2cl limejuice
1 egg white
Smoke 
Garnish with a juniper bush

Muddle three black raspberries in the shaker. Add all of the ingredients. Dry shake and then shake on ice. Smoke it on a bottle with smoke from juniper bush. Double strain the drink into our special ordered cocktail glass, with a eagle stem (or a martini glass). No ice. Garnish with a juniper bush.

10ml PX Sherry
10ml Heather Honey syrup
20ml Lemon Juice
60ml Carrot Juice
2 dashes Tabasco
3 dashes Worchester sauce
Pinch 2/1 freshly grinded white/black pepper

Shake everything and garnish with carrot top, honey suckle and pickled baby carrot.
